All We Are 03:54
I don't remember being born I'm in the same old clothes I've always worn It's too cold to turn the engine on The sky is warning of a storm Give it up for heaven's sake Or take your feet up off the brakes Just like a circle never loses shape All we are is what we make We've taken walks along the Seine But I won't go there with you again Still I can't help thinking now and then Of consequences we unintend
2.
Don't let it go Don't hide what you know 'Cause I can read your mind How does it feel? Tell me how does it feel? When they leave you far behind Why don't you say what you're thinking? Why don't you say what you're thinking now? Look what you've found It's bringing you down And it just won't leave you're head You know you can slide You're rotting insde And you might as well be dead Why don't you say what you're thinking? Why don't you say what you're thinking now? It's okay Don't back down It's okay Don't back down Say what you're thinking It's alright

I've been giving you hints so long that I'm starting to doubt Maybe I am some you can live without Can it really be that you don't understand what I'm trying to do? I'm just sitting here thinking of ways of getting closer to you Closer to you Closer to you I'm just sitting here thinking of ways of getting closer to you I remember a time when I thought you was feeling the same Now it feels like I'm really falling short of being true to my aim Can't it really be that you don't understand what I'm trying to do? Baby I'm just sitting here thinking of ways of getting closer to you Let it go There's a time and place for everything Let it go And that times not now I gotta let her go She's got not time for me in her life now

Tressa steps outside She breathes a sigh And wipes away her black mascara All at once She'll realize The days of bows and ponytails have gone And how they didn't last that long Tressa tries to hide away From anything That might cast her reflection She's afraid That everyone will notice She's got nothing left inside And that's where Tressa likes to hide She's worn down She's worn thin She doesn't know where to begin She's so tired Of waiting on a lover She wants out She wants in She doesn't know where to begin She's so tired Of waiting on a lover And all the pictures that she keeps of her Are old and faded And all the promises of those she loved Are now outdated Her father told her that The only one you have in life is you She's worn down She's worn thin She doesn't know where to begin She's so tired Of waiting on a lover She gives out She gives in She doesn't know where to begin She's so tired Of waiting on a lover

"22" 03:13
There's no safe place in the City You anonymously blend with scene Attracted to the noise from the incandescent boys Who have taken more than you've ever dreamed You close your eyes on top of some high rise And you wonder what it feels like to fly The wind's blowing through and it whispers to you It's says: "You're beautiful, you're beautiful" So take this 22 caliber water gun You put it in your mouth and pretend you're gone And in the morning when you wake up and see the sun You'll have won You don't recongnize yourself in the mirror There's a sadness you can never relate You're covered in the scars that you picked up in the bars And you know that you cant carry the weight You close your eyes on top of some high rise And you wonder what it feels like to fly The wind's blowing through and it whispers to you It says: "You're beautiful, you're beautiful" So take this 22 caliber water gun You put it in your mouth and pretend you're gone And in the morning when you wake up and see the sun You'll have won

about

Welcome Friends! Thank you for discovering this site and listening to my new EP, "george".

From what began as a routine one-off acoustic show in New York City, a magical chain of events was set in motion that led me to Ken Coomer, an old label-mate of mine at Sire/Reprise - and not to mention a founding member of Wilco - who agreed to not only produce, but also play on the EP. Ken assembled an amazing group of musicians and recording professionals to help bring this project to life!

"george" was released on October 16, 2012 and I am currently looking at the option of partnering with an independent record label.

Thank you in advance for your support!

Ira
